Designer's statement

As a seasoned graphic designer and published writer, I use a variety of mediums -- from Photoshop paintbrushes to the Italian language to acrylic paints to HTML -- to communicate beauty in images, words and experiences.

I am interested in the soul of a project that transcends superficial solutions and conventional attractiveness. Linking an image, a phrase, a color to a concept, manifesting that concept simply and elegantly in a recognizable medium -- this is the point and pleasure of my work.

My experience started early, privy to the flow and success of a family publishing company. I was fascinated from the start by the challenge of communicating through the combination of image and words. My career since as an independent designer, editor and consultant has allowed me to work with some of the most visually-sophisticated clients in the world on highly creative projects and ideas.

A New Yorker by birth, I live and create in Rome, Italy.
